At the William Morris Gallery

Thank you to Harriet Stansall who made the beautiful drawing, to Claire Darwent and Andrei Deminska for helping us build the set, to Richard Court who was leading our family workshop at the William Morris Gallery with me yesterday, and to all the brilliant volunteers at the William Morris Gallery! 162 people participated in the movement and craft workshop based on the fairy tale tile panel, and seemed to enjoy themselves. I am looking forwards to our return to the gallery for the Christmas family workshop in December.

At Agony Art

Thank you to everyone for coming to our performance at Agony Art last Friday, and for all the encouraging feedback. I am very happy that the audience seemed to enjoy the new work in progress, taking to the humor in our attempt to translate materials between each other. And that so many stayed behind to take a closer look at the drawings. Big thank you also to Antigone Avdi who curated the platform and has been such a great host, and to Maria Andrews who took the photos. Scanning

I have been creating a new work with the third year students on the BA(Hons) Dance in the Community course at University Campus Suffolk. Entitled Scanning, this group piece is a collaboration with Spanish fine artist Juan-Jose Guerra-Valiente. During the 10 miuntes long performance Juan traces the dancers' faces and gestures. At points he only uses tactile information through his hands which is then transferred into a layered group portrait.

See the performance on Saturday 31st May at DanceEast, 7.30pm, or the exhibition at the Waterfront Gallery, opening on Thursday 5th June, 6.30pm.
